The Foundation Package
Build The Infrastructure Behind Sustainable Operations
Strong organizations can still struggle when the systems behind the work are unclear, inconsistent, undocumented, or difficult to maintain.
BUILD + OPTIMIZE
Starting at $20,000
Foundation is a defined operational transformation designed to establish or strengthen the infrastructure your organization relies on to operate effectively and sustainably.
We review your operational structures, processes, workflows, documentation, and standards, identify where friction exists, and implement the improvements that matter most.
Every Foundation engagement is scoped individually. Investment is based on transformation breadth, operational complexity, implementation requirements, documentation intensity, and the level of client coordination required.
When Your Operations Need Stronger Foundations
As everyone arrives, we take time to settle in, get comfortable, and begin connecting with those around us. The journey starts here.
Operational friction often develops gradually.
A process changes. Responsibilities shift. Knowledge stays with one person. Documentation becomes outdated. Workarounds become the normal way of getting things done.
Eventually, the organization is spending more time managing the way work gets done than actually doing the work.
Foundation is designed for organizations experiencing conditions such as:
Unclear ownership or accountability
Processes that have developed organically over time
Inconsistent approaches to recurring work
Missing, outdated, or difficult to locate documentation
Critical operational knowledge concentrated with individuals
Unnecessary steps, duplication, bottlenecks, or inefficient handoffs
Unclear operational decision making
Workflows that are difficult to see, coordinate, or maintain
Systems and processes that no longer support the organization's current needs
Operational infrastructure that creates unnecessary dependency on people or informal knowledge
You do not need to wait for these conditions to become a larger organizational problem.
Foundation can also help organizations in earlier stages establish stronger operational infrastructure before inefficient practices become ingrained.
The Foundation Transformation
The Journey
Current State → Future State → Transformation → Sustainable State
What We Strengthen
-
Clear ownership, responsibility, and decision authority across priority operations.
-
More effective, efficient, visible, and coordinated ways for priority work to move.
-
Accessible operational knowledge that is easier to use, maintain, and carry forward.
-
Clear, appropriate expectations and consistent approaches for recurring operations.
-
An operating environment that can be maintained and improved without excessive dependence on individuals or informal systems.
What’s Included
-
Strengthen how responsibility, ownership, and decision making are organized across the organization. Foundation may address structural gaps, unclear responsibilities, overlapping ownership, and decision authority that create operational friction.
Includes
Organizational structure
Roles and responsibilities
Ownership and accountability
Decision authority
Cross functional alignment
Identification of operational ownership gaps
-
Improve how priority work moves through the organization. Foundation may address process design, workflow coordination, unnecessary friction, bottlenecks, handoffs, and other conditions that affect how effectively and efficiently work gets done.
Includes
Process design and redesign
Process improvement
Workflow mapping and visibility
Workflow coordination and handoffs
Bottleneck and redundancy reduction
Process and workflow optimization
-
Strengthen how operational knowledge is captured, organized, accessed, and maintained. Foundation may address critical documentation gaps, priority SOPs and process documentation, knowledge accessibility, and dependencies on individual knowledge.
Includes
Documentation assessment
Priority SOP development and revision
Process and workflow documentation
Operational reference resources
Documentation organization and accessibility
Identification of critical knowledge gaps
Knowledge continuity improvement
Reduction of individual knowledge dependency
-
Establish clear and appropriate expectations for how recurring work should be performed. Foundation may address inconsistent practices, unclear operational expectations, process alignment, and documentation standards that affect reliability and consistency.
Includes
Operational standards development
Standardized approaches for priority operations
Operational expectations
Process and practice alignment
Consistency requirements for priority operations
Documentation standards
-
Put approved improvements into practice and establish the conditions needed for those improvements to remain effective. Foundation may include implementation support, adoption and transition support, ownership clarification, knowledge continuity, and stabilization of the improved operating environment.
Includes
Implementation of approved operational improvements
Adoption and transition support
Ownership transition
Knowledge continuity support
Process and documentation maintenance structures
Stabilization review
Identification of remaining operational dependencies
What Foundations Does Not Include
Foundation is scoped around the organization's approved transformation priorities. Discovery may identify additional opportunities, but identifying an opportunity does not automatically add it to the engagement.
Ongoing Operational Support
Foundation does not include ongoing operational staffing, day-to-day administration, permanent process ownership, or continued operational management after the defined transformation is complete.
Unrelated Projects & Initiatives
Work outside the approved Foundation transformation is not automatically included. New projects, initiatives, or organizational functions may require separate scope, another engagement, or Strategic Partnership support.
Comprehensive Analytics & Performance Management
Foundation may use operational data to understand current conditions and establish appropriate baselines, but comprehensive analytics, dashboards, KPI development, and ongoing performance monitoring are outside the core Foundation scope.
Ongoing Execution & Project Management
Foundation includes implementation of approved foundational improvements, but does not provide ongoing project, program, event, or initiative execution.
HR, Strategic & Specialized Services
Foundation does not include HR functions, staffing or recruiting, compensation, broad strategic planning, business development, specialized training programs, legal or regulatory advice, or other services outside the defined operational transformation.
What Changes
Work has a clearer ownershipPriority work has defined ownership, responsibilities, and decision paths, reducing confusion and unnecessary escalation.
01
Processes work betterPriority processes and workflows are easier to navigate, with unnecessary friction, duplication, bottlenecks, and inefficient handoffs reduced.
02
Knowledge is easier to accessCritical operational knowledge is documented, organized, and accessible, reducing reliance on individual memory and informal practices.
03
Expectations are clearerPeople have a more consistent understanding of how recurring work should be performed, with appropriate standards supporting reliable operations.
04
Improvements can be sustainedThe organization has the structures, documentation, ownership, and practices needed to maintain the improved operating environment after the engagement ends.

Measuring Operational Value
A Defined Transformation
Emerging Organizations
Strong operations shouldn't have to wait until your organization reaches scale.
Organizations in earlier stages of development may qualify for a specialized Foundation investment structure designed around their current operational environment and transformation needs.
Emerging Foundation uses the same BUILD + OPTIMIZE methodology as the standard Foundation engagement, but is right sized for organizations with a narrower operational footprint, earlier stage infrastructure, or a more focused transformation.
Eligibility is based on:
Organizational stage and operational development
Transformation breadth
Operational complexity
Implementation requirements
Documentation intensity
Client readiness and availability
Capacity required to achieve the defined transformation
Organizational size, revenue, or headcount alone do not determine eligibility. Small does not always mean simple.
Investment is determined during the discovery and scoping process based on the organization's operational development, transformation needs, and engagement complexity.
If an organization's needs exceed the capacity or complexity appropriate for an Emerging engagement, the transformation may be structured as a standard Foundation engagement or separated into appropriately scoped engagements.
